Today you worked on creating your Vocabulary Digital Cards in Adobe Express. In one well-developed paragraph, reflect on the assignment by explaining which vocabulary word was easiest for you to understand, which word was most challenging, and how creating your own sentence and selecting an image helped strengthen your understanding of the vocabulary. Use specific examples from your work.

Prompt Response:  The vocabulary word culpable was easiest for me to understand because it sound like the word guilty in spanish. The word benign was challenging because it made me think of beginning but it actually means beneficial. Creating my own sentences helped me think about the word more deeply and figure out a way to use it in a situation. Selecting an image helped me visualized what that word meant. For example, the word blithe means carefree and lighthearted, so I choose an image of children playing because they are carefree. I made a sentences that relates to children's carefreeness. Summary: Today we worked on vocabulary on Adobe Express Reflection:  I finish the Adobe Express

Prompt Response:  While look at other students digital posters, they were very well organized and the themes were very nice. I like how everyone said that my posters looks neat and professional. I realized that maybe I should use more colors that pop out but also add some of the things I like.  Summary : Today we read our feedback for the essay and commented on other students poster.    Reflect on the simile and metaphor worksheet. Which topic challenged you the most when creating your figurative language, and why? In your response, explain what made that topic difficult and how you worked through the challenge (or what you might do differently next time). Prompt Response:  The topic that challenged me the most was the pressure to succeed because I realized that I was the one putting too much pressure and expectations, instead of others pressuring me. That made me realize that I may be too hard on myself and that I shouldn't. I should take it slow and steady, not fast because when I learn to do that I won't be so stressed.  Summary: Today we went over our similes and metaphors and started creating a poster in Adobe Express. Reflection:  I will finish my poster before class.

Today you created similes and metaphors that reflect your struggles, growth, and resilience. In a well-developed paragraph, reflect on the process. What did you learn about yourself while writing your figurative language?

Prompt Response:  While writing the similes and metaphors, I realized that I had a difficult time to think of situations that related to the topic. When the topic was about what other said about me, I couldn't think of a situation. For example, the topic of doubt and criticism, the only thing that came to mind was MY self doubt, instead of what others have said. The most important part of this assignment was learning that I am surrounded by good and inspiring friends that always have positive energy, but that I shouldn't be too hard on myself. Summary : Today we started a new assignment about making similes and metaphors about ourselves.  Reflection:  I will finish the assignment

Describe how you spent your time, any activities, traditions, travel, hobbies, or moments that stood out to you. You may also discuss something new you tried, something you learned, or how the break helped you reset before returning to school. Keep your response appropriate for a school setting and focus on experiences you are comfortable sharing publicly image.png

Prompt Response:  During the break I went to church, pack to move, cooked, and went to the park. One of the moments that stood out to me was going to church because the message the pastor gave was very inspirational. The break made me reflect that I missed talking to friends and being around them. I also realized how much I really enjoy creating, fixing, and helping others.  Summary: Today we read and analyzed a poem. Reflection:  I finished interpreting the similes and metaphors in the poem.

Now that you have completed the rhetorical analysis essay, reflect on your growth. Explain how this experience impacted your confidence as a writer and whether you feel prepared to continue analyzing complex speeches and texts in American Literature. Support your reflection with specific references to the writing process.

Prompt Response:  This experience taught me to not overthink what I wrote and to write the whole essay first then go back and revise it. It made me feel like I have improved my writing compared to last year. I feel prepared to continue writing another speech because I know now how everything should sound like.  Summary: Today we wrote our rhetorical essay . Reflection:  I finished the essay.

If you had to describe how you show love using only three objects (for example: a playlist, a hoodie, a late-night snack, a long text message, etc.), what would you choose and why? Explain what each object represents and how it connects to your personality.

Prompt Response:  I would choose gifts, kind notes, and camera to show my love for the people I care about. I love making gifts for others and finding things that make me remember them. I also like writing nice things about them to remind them how special they are to me and because I tend to be shy to say it out aloud. Finally, I would choose a camera to take pictures of them and remember the happy memories. I feel these objects show how I tend to show my love through mostly small actions that make the other person feel special to me and show how considerate and thoughtful I am.  Summary: Today we wrote a poem to someone we care and love about. Reflection:   I finished my poem.
